I haven't been on a while because of work overload and the fact my appendix has problems. Thankfully it hasn't burst yet!
I have a LOT of pictures and although other blogs had posted the Gossip Girl Birchbox and Glam bag already, I will still be posting them. I also have a Urban Outfitter purchase to post.

I recently jumped onto the BB cream bandwagon. My mother has BB cream but decided to try a new one with me. Missha is currently having a "Holiday" promotion where new users get a free #23 Perfect Cover BB Cream with any purchase. I have decided to get the #27 since I'm more tan than her. I can't wait 'til it comes!
My April's Glam bag! At last, I get to share what I received. MyGlam sent my replacement bag and never told me the new tracking number until I emailed them. The shipping took 2-3 days since I'm in California. I hope their customer service improves soon :(

The bag it came in. The smell was horrifying since I wasn't prepared for it and I accidentally breathed in the fumes. It was bearable after that though.
What I did to get rid of the smell was empty it and lay it upside down on a fan so it can air it out.
The smell was gone within a few minutes.
If I sniff the bag, there's no smell so yay :)
The bag is pretty sturdy and although I don't really care for the color and shininess of it, it will make a good makeup or pencil bag.

First thing I spy is the eyelashes.
An asian brand I've never heard of. Either Taiwanese or Singaporean brand. Not sure.
I feel disappointed since I wanted a Japanese brand. I don't really trust made in China eyelashes.

The eyelashes are pretty but it looks too choppy for me.
I squeezed a bit out so you can see the color. It does have a bit of a shimmer but it doesn't really show on your lips. It smells really nice, like fruit to be exact. It smells like pineapples and coconuts to me. Yum!
It does a decent job of moisturizing but my lips still get a little rough.
Although it smells delish, it is super sticky. I am usually fine with sticky lip glosses but this one, if you don't put a thick, thick coat it feels really gross on my lips. I do give it kudos for lasting really long.
Another con is that it is difficult to squeeze it out of the tube. I use two hands to squeeze it and still have to wait for it come out.
I got two MyGlam brushes.

An eyeliner brush and an C-brush or eyeshadow brush.
The eyeliner brush feels firm and the eyeshadow brush is rather dense.
I'm sticking to my Sigma brushes though.
The eyeliner brush is nice and thin and the eyeshadow brush is a little fluffy.
Earlier, I was a bit iffy about joining Birch Box. Out of curiosity, I searched for what's going to be in the May 2012 box and found they are going to collaborate with Gossip Girl.
Needless to say, I immediately signed up. I am so excited, I'm practically bouncing in my chair! Hopefully I won't be disappointed, I love Gossip Girl because of the fashion and the hair and makeup of the characters!
If it doesn't end well, I can always cancel BUT I hear that sponsored/themed boxes are always better! According to some sites, Diorshow Extase mascara, Dr. Jart+ beauty balm cream and Ojon Volume Advance volumizing shampoo is part of the brands to be included. I hope I get the BB cream and Dior Mascara! Also, "While several different versions of the box will be sent out, the Hamptons Beach Party-themed version will feature Color Club’s Clambake Coral polish, among others."

I have recently started MyGlam (Will post pictures tomorrow) and today I received an email from both Beauty Army and Birch Box telling me they're accepting more subscriptions.
After searching up reviews about both subscriptions, I have decided to sign up for Beauty Army first. I still have over 24 hours to decide if I want to try out Birch Box. I really tempted to just sign up and see what I get in the first box. I'll think about it.
I already chose my samples for Beauty Army (from now on known as BA in this post). BA lets you choose from 9 samples, up to 6 samples. So you can pick 3 samples or 4 samples, however many you want.
BA is a beauty subscription and you get two options when paying.
You can either pay $12 a month and have the ability to stop anytime you want
OR
You can pay for a whole year and get one month free. You can't get a refund though.
They have a beauty survey when you first sign up and it really does help them narrow down samples for you. I have dry to combination skin depending on the weather. Mostly dry skin so when I went to pick my samples, half of the samples were aimed towards skin hydration. I also am concerned about acne since I'm still prone to them :( Fortunately, they have many acne-treating/preventing samples for you to try out.

I can't wait for all of them. I heard great things about the Cover FX, Befine night cream, and Cellceuticals PhotoDefense! I'm really happy that the SPF for the Cellceuticals is 55+ It's the perfect amount :)
Most of these samples are pretty much deluxe size so I feel like they'll be more worth it.
If BA is better than MyGlam, I'm probably cancelling MyGlam. MyGlam had some decent items this month but the delay was annoying. They shipped a new bag but never informed me of the tracking number. They're still not on top of their game but hopefully they'll start improving as April's Glam bag seems better than the previous months. Since I'm considering cancelling MyGlam, I just might try out Birch Box.
