MAC Purchase (Select Cover Up)

I have been in search for the perfect concealer for a while now. I have purchase many, many concealers from Stila to Benefit to ELF. Strangely enough, the only concealer that has ever worked for me was from ELF. It was one of those face books. But I have finished it. The pot is completely empty. It was perfect. Creamy and matched me 100%. Alas, it is discontinued. I bought another one but they changed all the shades and now they don't even sell it.

Long story short, I can NEVER find the perfect concealer. Mostly due to my skin tone. Since I live in California, I'm constantly exposed to the sun. Hence, my super tan skin! Despite buying the medium or the darkest shade of concealer, it is still too light on me.

Finally a week ago, I did intense research and narrowed my search to the Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Stick and the MAC Select Cover Up.

I went to MAC first and because I didn't know my shade, I had one of the associates match me. After trying like 4-5 concealers, I ended up getting the select cover up. I tried the other concealer that looked like a lip gloss because it was supposed to be more hydrating.

Pictures, links, and how I apply it below!

Select Cover Up

I'm dark! Haha. Seems like most people are NW20.

This little tube should last a while!

I never knew MAC products were made in Canada. Some one told me they and Chanel products were all made in China.

Because this formula is a bit sticky and heavy when you apply it, I find that dabbing it works best. The associate used a brush that looks like the eye pencil brush from Sigma but not sure what it would be in MAC. I tried to lightly dab some but I didn't get much coverage. I end up getting a LOT more and dabbing it evenly then setting it with a lighter powder since it appears WAY too dark for me at first. I don't know if it neutralizes or something but it blends into my skin like 5-10 minutes later. Haha. Hopefully this helps!

The associate gave me a sample of their Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Eye Cream because I don't have an eye cream and my eye area is a bit dry. This has a 4.6 on Makeup Alley so I'm impressed.

I'm supposed to use it in the morning and before I go to sleep.

It smells lovely. It feels really nice when I put it on. Not sure if it does anything though. My eye area is a BIT more hydrated nothing miraculous though. Full size is 35$ for 15 mL.
