Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream Review and Pictures

I finally finished work and am pretty recovered from a recent surgery so posts will continue to be published !

So, I've been using this BB cream for a while now and this Missha BB cream is the first BB cream I have ever tried.

Compared to foundation, it is much better because I don't have to wait for my sunscreen to dry before putting foundation. By the time I'm done with my powder, my face seems cakey.

I went on Amazon to look at it but it seems like sellers have been selling counterfeits. Skin care products should be one of the last things you should risk buying a counterfeit. You might break out or develop a rash or something worse.

I went on the Missha USA website. They had a promotion for first time customers where they receive a free Missha Perfect Cover BB cream #23 with their first purchase. I was not sure which shade to get it in but because my mother was interested in the BB cream and is fairer than me, I decided to get the shade #27 Honey Beige and let her have the #23 Natural Beige.

I received it a week later. In the close up of the boxes, the boxes are tilted because the box surface is super reflective~

It came in a bubble mailer, which surprised me because I assumed the boxes would be crushed.

But it was wrapped in bubble wrap :)

The boxes, surprisingly not crushed.

The cream

Overall, I like it but it can be drying for my skin sometimes. I have dry skin depending on the weather and combination the rest of the time.

The first few times I used it, I dotted my face, meaning 2 dots on forehead, one on each cheek, one between my eyes, one on my nose, one under my nose and one on my chin. After a few times, I just started to spread the cream from my nose area outwards. It worked much better.

As for coverage, it provides medium coverage. It does minimize redness and helps unevennness but you can still see some imperfections.

This is perfect when I don't feel like putting on full makeup and just want to look fresh and decent looking for the day :)

I give it a 8.5 out of 10 stars.

If you're interested in buying it, here's the link. It's currently 30% off.

June 2012 BeautyArmy

Today, I received my second BeautyArmy box! I was super excited and I was not let down! I'll update the reviews either when I finish testing the products or when I choose my third box!

Unboxing and what I received:

Review:

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream:
37.20$ for 4 oz
I heard fabulous things about this cream on Amazon. It is slightly more cheap on there but 20 cents doesn't really make a difference until you factor in the flat shipping rate of 5$ for BA. It currently has 4 stars out of 5 on Amazon. I just hope there is enough product since the packet is kind of small. Squishing the sample without opening it, I can tell it has a thick consistency.

Review:
Extremely oily and smells like fried noodles to me. It did help the roughness in my cheeks because I have a dry skin there. Worth enduring the oily-ness.

Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream:
30$ for 3.4 fl oz
This is also on Amazon. It is also cheaper on Amazon (24.70$ with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime). It currently has around 4.5 stars out of 5 on Amazon. This product looks promising! I love the little jar it comes in. It reminds me of the sample Kiehl's ultra facial cream I received a while ago.

Review:
Decent. It's thick and it doesn't work miracles but does keep some parts of my face moisturized.

NYX Faux Lashes Mascara:
6$ for 1 mascara
I believe you can find this mascara at your local drugstore or ULTA. I was a bit hesitant to try this out at first because it ranks a 2.5 "lips" out of 5 but I really wanted a mascara for my lower eyelashes. I usually get the problem where it smudges a lot with other mascara. Hopefully this mascara doesn't. The sample is a full-size :).

Review:
As BA stated, perfect for lower lashes. It doesn't flake for me. It makes lashes a bit thicker but it doesn't do much for volume or length.

ClickR Skincare Acne Spot Serum:
20$ for 0.11 oz
I went on their website and a lot of people gushed about how this product did wonders overnight. I can't try out this product until I get acne. Surprisingly, all of mine disappeared this week. What's so fabulous about BA is that this is a full-size product so it should last me a while. The brush reminds me of a Stila lip glaze brush. It is really soft. I'll probably be squeezing the product on my finger and then using it because I don't like the acne treatments with a brush or a roller ball since it is not very sanitary. This isn't a big problem though so I'm not worried!

Review:
Helped for SOME tiny acne. When I had a tiny tiny one forming, it didn't help. Meh.

Eyecandy Coolers:
12$ for 1 set.
I am so excited to try this out because I have terrible dark circles and puffiness. My eyes are always red from sleep deprivation. I researched it after I chose it and found out there are several colors: Classic Chillin' Cucumber, Cotton Candy Pink, Sugared Ice Blue and Tart N' Tangy Tangerine. I wanted the Cucumber ones the most because it's so cute. I was so ecstatic when I got the cucumber ones! They are in the fridge as I write this!

Review:
I love this. It's really soothing on the eyes. I do it before I go to sleep.

Kellett Skincare Moisturizing Gel:
95$ for 1.7 fl oz.
Wow, because the full-size is so out of my budget, I will not be re-purchasing this even though I have not tried it out yet. According to the reviews on BA, most people don't like the smell of the product but it does leave your skin moisturized and soft.

Review: I really like this. It moisturizes my skin but you can't apply a thin layer. You have to squeeze quite a bit out and then slowly apply it over your face. This morning, I accidentally got some in my eye. It was PAINFUL. I had to quickly wash my eyeball out :T When the back says avoid eye contact, really DO avoid your eyes at all costs!

Everything can be found on the BA website but if you do not have a BA account, you can always check out eBay, Amazon or any online store.

Opened up the top black layer. They just love to build suspense don't they?!

I see my first three samples when I opened the next pink layer.

The rest of my samples on the most bottom layer! I was super surprised when I saw the Joico's K-Pak Reconstructor!

Everything!

Review:

CellCeuticals' PhotoDefense Anti-PhotoAging Daily Skin Protector SPF 55+:
45$ for 2 fl oz
I love this sunscreen but it is super pricey. My review on BA: "The best sunscreen I have ever used. I usually use Neutrogena's sunscreen but when I tried this, this became my all time favorite. I have relatively dry skin and this hydrates my skin without it feeling greasy. I personally hate the oily feeling along with the strong smell but this sunscreen has neither. It makes my skin feel nice and smooth. The downside is that the price is more than what I would pay usually for sunscreen. When I'm finished with the sample, I might buy the full sized one if I miss it!"

Joico's K-Pak Deep-Penetrating Reconstructor:
There is no price on the BA website because it is out of stock but I believe it's around 18$ for the sample size which is I think a full-size. I might repurchase. My review on BA: "Smells like bananas. While this may be a turn-off for some people, I personally find it delicious smelling. This is a protein reconstructor and because it's deep penetrating, I recommend it for dry or damaged hair. If your hair is relatively healthy, it might dry out or damage your hair. I personally have damaged hair from all the bleaching and dyeing I did several years back. I left it on for 10 minutes instead of the 5 minutes. You shouldn't leave it more than that because it can really irritate your scalp, it is "deep-penetrating" after all. Mine was a bit itchy in some places just from the 10 minutes alone. When I washed it out, my hair easily detangles and became really smooth. Remember to put conditioner on afterwards because this is not a deep-conditioner!"

Befine Night Cream:
30$ for a 1.7 fl oz size
I relatively like this cream but I wouldn't repurchase this. It is lightweight and it has a light pleasant smell. You need to put a medium layer on or else it dries into your skin easily. The first few times, I used a thin layer and I ended needing to reapply another lotion on. Now, I just give myself a generous amount and it is pretty moisturizing. Not worth the money in my opinion though.

Clear Prep FX Matte Foundation Primer and Anti-Acne Treatment Gel:
39$ for 1 oz.
It does dry matte and when you squeeze it out, it is this clear thick gel as advertised. In my opinion it doesn't prime well or rather it doesn't affect my face at all. I use BB cream and I tried layering the primer, letting it set, and then putting my BB cream but there is no noticeable difference. As for the anti-acne part, no difference at all. I don't have a lot of acne. One here or there occasionally. It didn't help them. Honestly, it feels the exact same as ELF's mineral face primer. With the price comparison, I rather buy the ELF primer.

Control Corrective Clear Med 5%:
25$ for 2.5 fl oz.
I have never had a medicated acne treatment except for the Neutrogena orange tube one. The Control Corrective works only sometimes. I tried it on a forming acne to see if it can stop it from fully forming but it took a few days. It helped my some of my existing acne either from disappearing or minimizing. I don't have enough acne to fully see the potential in this product though. There is plenty in the sample that I still have a buttload of product. I don't need acne treatment that desperately so I won't be repurchasing.

Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion:
19$ for 2.5 fl oz.
I personally don't like this sample. There is a generous amount but after using it for around 3 times I stopped. It has a strange light smell. Nothing terrible but not a normal smell. It is a white runny liquid. I use a Clarisonic so it felt strange when there are no foam or bubbles from this cleansing lotion. It felt very mild and light. Because there is no apparent washing, I feel like my skin was still dirty afterwards. It doesn't have any effect on my dry skin. It seems to be for sensitive skin. I won't be repurchasing this.

Everything can be found on the BA website but if you do not have a BA account, you can always check out eBay or Amazon. I know Amazon has most of the items. You can find the CellCeuticals' sunscreen at DermStore.

Urban Outfitters Order

I haven't updated in a while since I was hospitalized but now I'm posting again. I have a lot of stuff to put up :)

So, last time UO had free shipping so I searched around the site for something to purchase.

I recently fell in love with wearing sunglasses and I had my eye on the Daisy sunglasses for a while now. Seeing it on sale, I added to my cart.

I am not usually a hat person but the girl wearing the beanie on the site looks good in the beanie and I have to say that from the front, it looks really good but from the back, it looks extremely awkward.

I ended up returning both items for store credit. I placed another order already on-line. I should be receiving it this coming Monday.

As much as I loved the Daisy sunglasses, it simply did not flatter my face at all. I am tanned and I think my face shape is either a heart or an oval (I could never tell the difference). It looked awkward. Also, I hate the fact that the sunglasses are too light. You can see my eyes and also everything is tinted in this strange golden brown color.

As usual, links to items are listed on the bottom of the post.

Here is how the sunglasses look like if you don't know:

Essentially, the sunglasses have this scalloped design that makes it resemble daisies. There is a yellow design snaking around the rim and the handles of the sunglasses.

The beanie:

I didn't take a picture because it was super awkward looking. The white cloth at the edge of the hat is really soft and stretchy. It crinkles easily though. The colors are neutral and pretty for the fall but I don't like the top. It droops too much. I look like I'm wearing a brown version of Link's hat.

I found this image of a real-life Link hat online. Off-topic, the creator's sewing skills are impeccable Haha.

Last time I checked, the Daisy sunglasses were still on sale and the beanie was out of stock. Oh just kidding, I just found it. I guess I wasn't the only one that returned it. It's on sale too !
